Are you getting ready for the 4th of July? We used to have a big party every year for the 4th of July. We lived on Mt. Washington in Pittsburgh which is a neighborhood that overlooks the downtown city skyline.
We had all of our friends and family over for an all day party, cook out and to watch the fireworks. I have a lot of memories from those parties!
Anyway, now we celebrate a little more quietly.
The kiddos and I got out paint, paper plates and paper to create a Fourth of July decoration.
First I drew a bunch of stars on paper. As my sweet Annabelle told me, "those don't look like stars, Mommy!" Well, I tried.
Then they painted to their hearts content.
They used brushes, sponges and, of course, their fingers!
Once the paint dried Annabelle and I cut out the stars. I then cut out the middle of the paper plates to turn them into wreaths.
Then they glued the stars onto the paper plates. Pretty simple right?
Happy 4th of July!

looks wonderful what fun for the kids
